Love for All
From Durango, CO on 09/19/20 by Leigh LaRue
Guide us, God, to love one another
Despite color, religion, or creed
Remind us that we share the same home,
That the same color do we bleed
United we stand, separate we fall
Somehow bring us together fast
We’re running short on hours and minutes
Guide us in our present and forgive us our past
We share this planet with abundance of life
Everyone, everything deserves the same love
No way we could make it alone here
Not even with great help from above
Trees, water, creatures high and low
All bring their unique gifts and magic here
We must stop consuming all that is not us
Let us begin to treat all as precious and dear
I know it’s not going to be easy
To change our perspectives and ways
To remember that we’re more alike than not
But we must if we wish for more days
No matter who you are and what you have done
I love you and forgive you and wish you well always
I forgive myself for misguidance and misgivings
My mind is clear, heart is full, and soul is ablaze
I release all hatred, jealousy, and judgement
For all that is different from me
I honor and value all of life on our earth
I’ve been blind my whole life, but now I see
Thank you Great Spirit for loving us all
And helping us do the same
I know we’ll wake up and find our way
That it’s just the beginning, not the end-game
Bless us all on our unique journeys
But remind us that we share the same goals
To heal ourselves and help one another
To clear our debts and advance our souls
